For me, my experience with Apple Computers started in a very simple, short way: I entered an Apple Store. That's all it took for me to get out with a Powerbook G4 years ago. But even if it was - and still is - a great laptop, it was far more than I needed, I could have very well done with a lower end iBook and saved $500 at the same time. Well now I know better.

Apple computers are an object of desire, they remain the best looking and best performing out-of-the-box computers to date, everybody likes them - yes, even pc users -, yet among the available models and the quite long lists of specifications, it's not that easy to make the right decision. If you are like me, and have ever been to an Apple Store, you just wish you could get everything you see with you back home, and that's precisely what Apple wants! There's no way around it, these guys know how to market their apple computers.

we DON'T focus on the specs...

...though we mention them from time to time but just for the sake of analysis, but you can skip those parts don't worry ;-) -, what we DO focus on is what matters: the overall end user experience and their pros and cons, from how much they weight and how they feel in your hands, to how they will respond to your day to day requirements, the basic must have software, the best accessories -according to my own experience- and much more, all explained in the way we get it, plain English, not all the techie-fluff that jumps at us every time we open a magazine or check a website.

Just keep in mind that some aspects of the apple computers and other products I give my opinion about shouldn't be taken as an absolute truth. My opinion is based almost entirely on my own experience and on the experience of people I know and trust, and I do my best to present it in the most organized and practical way.
