From Windows Addict To Mac Lover: A Bit About Me And This Site
Well, here we are, this is where I tell you a bit about myself and how Apple-Computers-Guide-And-Advice.com came to be. I'll keep it short -well..I'll try- so no one will blame me for falling asleep while reading :) The Start..
I've liked everything computer-related since I was a child and I used my previous machines for everyday tasks, like downloading and listening to music, email, watching movies and organizing my files and documents as best as I can. In short my *computer-life* was as common as you could get. However there was only one slight difference.. I didn't had a computer from the very start. I spent all my childhood and early teens *borrowing* computers and laptops from friends, family and acquaintances. I used them to manage my information and music and some gaming occasionally -until I saved enough to get my Playstation- and whenever I had any problem with any of the computers that I had, I had to figure out the solution by myself, and if you add to that the fact that I spent years that way, well that's how I came to know about computers. I never had any formal training but knew enough already about Windows -from an everyday user point of view- to know exactly which kind of machine I would need to do the things I needed to do. So my first purchase was a desktop and then another one and when I started to think about a laptop, then it happened. The Light...
I saw an Apple Computer -an iMac- at the store and got both impressed by it's looks and curious at the same time, so I researched bit -and by *bit* I mean that I looked at every single online and offline review I could get- and decided to get a Powerbook G4 knowing that there was no way it could live up to the hype and that I would have to sell it in less than a month to get that Thinkpad laptop that could run my old trusty Windows.

My First Mac. How Nostalgic!
The Change..
Well, to sum things up I was wrong, and the experience I've had with both my Powerbook and my Macbook -and my brand new Macbook Pro!- was so good to me that I knew I needed to share it with as much people as possible. And that is how this site came to be, it is meant as a tool for anyone who is thinking about switching to Mac but has no idea where to start from, or for those new to Mac and to computers in general, because even if Apple says the contrary, you need to know some stuff about computers to understand a Macbook or an iMac, they are not magical -though sometimes I think they are- but these computers hold an amazing experience for anyone who is willing to take the jump. And this site is here to give my two cents and help you make your jump a bit easier.
So I hope you find the contents of this site useful. Feel free to check out any page you want and if you want to know about something else here, want to give me your opinion of the site, or want to share any thoughts on it,
